American Idol

Adam reminds me of the show Adam's Family (not because of the name). I think it's his makeup and hair that makes him look a little bit like a possible relative of Adam's family.
 
My favorite singer is Danny, he reminds me of Elvis Costello.

I adore American Idol! My guilty secret is that if I could have been anything in a former or the next life it would be a singer. Unfortunately, in this life I cannot hold a tune. So watching these unknowns get up on the stage and knock it out is great vicarious fun for me. I really don't enjoy the awful singers, too excrutiating for me!

My favorite this year is Megan Corkrey of Sandy, Utah. A really interesting singer! She's so charming and I love her tatooed arm and that she's a young single mom. American Idol Top 13 Party | TV | Entertainment | Winnipeg Sun

E-gads. There are some "interesting" vids of Adam out there. I should have known when I saw his black nailpolish:LOL: Well, I like the guy anyway. He has a real talent and should be entertaining to watch this season!

I think Simon is just happy to find someone original! So many of the others are just more of the same. The black singer with the big voice. The "Backstreet" guy. The blues guy. The "janis joplin imitator". Etc. Megan seems different and can sing too!

I ran into one of the contestants yesterday at a mall in Burlington VT. Was sitting at the food court when one of my kids spots the gay guy with the facial body piercings(Nathaniel Marshal),she yells out hey isnt that the guy from American Idol?We swapped thumbs up and he continued trying to eat his lunch but now that people recognized him he was barraged with people wanting pictures with him and autographs.

Maybe the people who run the show are looking at his marketability in todays youth market, Bands my two teenagers are into these days

I think the best two were Danny and Adam. Danny had better vocals so I put him in first. Anoop and Jorge should be the two going home.
 
Danny and Adam were amazing. Adam is so much better than the others. And Danny is incredibly talented.

Anoop and Jorge were not as amazing, but I enjoyed listening to them, too!! :D I thought Anoop did a lot better than he was given credit for doing. I could listen to Jorge all night.

If I had to pick someone to go home, it would be Michael.

I just love this show, though someone I know said it was like the "Gong Show" of times past, without the gong.

Adam screams the songs too much. If he can sing a ballad without oversinging it I will give him props. Danny Gokey is an artist I could listen to all day......:) I love Alexis Grace and Jorge can croon like a young Marc Anthony.......:)

FD, I liked Jorge very much tonight. I think the judges were wrong about him.
 
Most season there is some contestant that judges really like, and I don't get, Chris Daughtry (sp) was a good example. By the end of his run, I'll admit I started to appreciate his talent.

This season it is Adam, I thought butchered Satisfaction, I thought he over sung tonight, and I don't get his sex appeal.

I definitely agree with Danny, and Lil Round, reminds of a terrific Motown singer, and Megan is adorable.

Definitely Michael Sarver, though I liked Anoop's performance.

My next least favorite performance was that of Allison Iraheta, although I thought she was one of the very top contestants previously so I hope people give her a break. I think the hair in her eyes was distracting to me, her outfit was kind of stupid, and her singing was not up to her usual capabilities.
 
My bottom two are Jasmine Murray and Michael Sarver. I doubt Jasmine will leave tonight because she is so darn cute.

I finally figured out who Jasmine looks like, a young Janet Jackson......:)

I think Anoop and Sarver are in the bottom two, and Sarver goes home. As far as Megan goes, she needs to drop the dance moves until she gets a choreograper to help. Terrible song choice, but she's very pretty and that will keep her around for another week..........

Lil is a Motown diva in waiting. She's kinda like Aretha Franklin meets Tina Turner, and throw a little Patti LaBelle in there........:D

Gokey gets an album deal no matter what happens. I think Simon was right when he compared him to the Doobie Brothers Michael MacDonald, as a "white guy with soul"..........:)
