In a different thread I had posted I was lamenting the amount the lawyers got compared to the harmed party.... the gist was the amount to the harmed party was so small it was not worth it....

Interesting to read about a class action on robocalls...

Seems that you can get $300 per call up to $900 if you qualify.... now that seems to be a good result for people who got a call... but, not sure how much the lawyers will get... (see below)

You can check you number.... Hmmmm, seems like 2 different lawsuits (maybe)

Just noticed this on lawyer fees in the article...

The catch? Attorney costs and other fees will have to be paid first by the company, and then the remaining money will be split between everyone who files a valid claim. So while the courts ruled that you should get $300 for each call, what you really get depends on the money that's left.

And this in FAQ....

The maximum amount of the Settlement Fund will be $12,500,000. The maximum amount that can be awarded to Class Counsel, per the discretion of the Court, is $4,166,625. Class Counsel will also seek reimbursement for expenses incurred over the five year course of this litigation, which are subject to court review and approval. Class Counsel will also seek a $50,000 incentive award for the Class Representative in recognition of his service to the Class during the pendency of this litigation.

To avoid confusion, let's close this thread and continue the discussion on the thrad linked in REWahoo's post.
