That's a lovely layout above and around your bed, and a beautiful bed, too. But I can see you don't live in earthquake country, do you? Hanging glass above the head of my bed, no matter how securely, just doesn't feel safe. Just kidding around, of course - I'm sure you know what you are doing.

I've never lived in earthquake country and it shows because the thought that it could be dangerous to hang pictures above my bed never crossed my mind! But after closer inspection the "glass" is in fact plexiglass (I told you the frames were really cheap!), so the worse that can happen is wake up with a big bump on my head...

When hanging a group of pictures like that, one of those laser levels really comes in handy. Check out the picture group above the desk in the following picture (this is were we display all our family pictures). Twenty two frames in total, everything has to be perfectly aligned to look good (for my perfectionist self).

Update

Well, we finally found a frame that was the right size. We bought this for $3, which had a high-quality oak frame

Chose a mat and had it cut for $24, and here's the final result:

Good deal, even at wholesale that frame would be $1 per lineal foot, thats not counting the labor to cut and join, etc.

Excellent result, Al. I like the choice of mat color.
