Short answer...yes, friends, family neighbors, DW... EDIT TO ADD: Strangers on the internet.

All to varying degrees. I only help those interested though...and I understand 100% most do not get it. A side benefit to all this helping...It gives me lots of time to practice smiling.

I ALWAYS start with risk tolerance. Most do not really understand risk factors, let alone could tell you their tolerance beyond "stone-cold fearful of risk" or "all-in gambler"

Only to note to a friend that 1% to her FA is kind of high expense. Explained that I am dumping soon a TIAA fund which will charge .84% in near future, which percentage I consider outrageously high charge.
