Norton antivirus..

Am trying to install updates to my Norton antivirus. But when it comes time to install, the computer window tells me I already have a portion of Norton running and the updates can't overwrite a running program. What do I do?Error LU 1821

Uninstall your previous version of Norton then install the new version.

Go snoop around the norton web site, they have a special tool to do a complete removal of the software should it get into a funny state like this.

Until I upgraded recently, mine got weird for awhile. Worked around it by manually downloading and installing the updates. What version do you have?
