Our friend daughter’s wedding last night ...

We attended one of those picture perfect weddings last June for the daughter of a wealthy family we know. It was quite a bash which happened near their country home. Organizing it took a year and the FIREd parents really seemed to enjoy the whole process, as did the daughter. I’m sure they didn’t take out a loan for it. We were glad to be invited and may the couple remain happy.

It was held at a beautiful old church (it's the one in the center of Parque Kennedy) followed by a reception at a nice,modest venue nearby. Less than 100 guests and they put a bottle of red wine,bottle of pisco,bottle of scotch and a ice bucket on each table. I never saw the bills but I paid 5k and thought it was a bargain. Third Wedding I have paid for in a year and hopefully I am done. My Wife and I had a simple wedding at a restaurant for about 10 people and I bet it cost less than $200.00. I told the YW if she wanted a big wedding we could renew our vow's and go the whole 9 yards. She gently reminded me, that we could not do that as we did not get married in the church the first time.
