Sexy whiskey glasses

well I 'almost' ordered them but I don't see an https designation on the address so I am not putting my credit card info on a site that isn't encrypted. I wrote their customer service and told them once they have a secure site I will order!

Luckily my neighbor has bequeathed me his glasses in his will...hmmm...wonder if he wants to go hunting with me :D

I got DH a set direct from Macallan a few years back, but those do look nice. Please post an IRL pic when you get them.

Not my idea of sexy glasses. I had some sexy glass many years ago that had fully clothed pretty girls painted on the glass but they would suddenly undress as you poured in the cold beer. (poured in the glass, not poured in you :)) I'd post a link to show a sample but it would probably be politically incorrect on this forum.

Looks like a great deal compared to this $600 coffee cup / saucer combination.

I think the whisky glass and the coffee cup may share the same copywriter:

Smart design using the latest techniques of nano-technology coatings. The construction achieves enhanced insulating properties to keep the coffee at a perfect temperature for longer. The inner contours are designed to optimize fluid dynamics and achieve the perfect crema. The escaping aroma is enhanced, delighting the sense of smell and please the palette. - See more at: DEVIEHL

A contradiction of seemingly pure material, whose beauty and identity derive from the mineral impurities within and the metamorphic process they undergo. These impurities determine the color, the uniqueness of each cup. Timeless, ageless, a piece of history.

FYI--impressed the company wrote me back--looks like you can order somewhat more securely if you want these glasses. I am just too skittish to put my CC number into an non secure site. So here is their response if one is so inclined.

Thanks for your message.

Although Celery (our pre-order platform) loads in a secure iFrame, our website provider Squarespace does not offer SSL integration at this time.

Please follow the instructions below if you would prefer ordering through SSL: http://help.trycelery.com/knowledgebase/articles/454649-ssl-https-security-or-why-don-t-i-see-a-green

...so I am not putting my credit card info on a site that isn't encrypted.

What kind of credit card do you have that you are not protected from unauthorized use? I didn't know there were any of those still around.

Maybe I have it wrong but the reason one uses https sites is so that your credit card info is encrypted and not easily accessible by anyone. My understanding (and trust me--it could easily be incorrect) is that posting your credit card on a http site is just as bad as emailing that info. It most likely won't get intercepted but there is a possibility of that, which is substantially reduced if one uses a https site which is secure.

Am I wrong on that thought process?

I don't know. I was just curious. I purchase a lot online (more than $10,000 a year... hmmmm, maybe much more) and have for many (~20) years. I never check to see if the site is http or https and have never had an unauthorized charge that wasn't immediately corrected by the card issuer. And, fwiw, it doesn't happen that often... maybe once every couple years.

I kinda rely on the information contained, for instance, in this Google search: https://www.google.com/search?sourc...=hp..3.41l133.0.0.0.6236...........0.&qscrl=1
