I have a side gig in retirement, but even in the days I worked FT, I have always checked my SS to be sure earnings are properly posted. (DH had 2 times that nothing was posted and we had to get that corrected.)

Anyway, we filed early this year and my 2018 earnings are posted, but are $55 less than my schedule C. Given the new tax laws this year, I am wondering if there is something I am not accounting for.. anyone else seeing this?

Not sure it is worth correcting as I have plenty of years of higher earnings, but I am curious....

No, it does not. Can't figure our how they arrived at the figure they did.

You mean the 20% Qualified Business Income pass through deduction?

The pass through deduction should have nothing to do with the actual earnings posted in Social Security… But even that number did not fit with what was posted on my Social Security earnings
