What tropical trees aren't a good investment?

Has anyone had any experience with this type of investment or this company? I'd love to hear feedback, experiences.

I heard about this type of investment from a friend of a friend and turned it down. Even if the investment turns out to be legitimate and not a scam, I would have no way of determining whether such an investment is a good investment (i.e., it's outside my circle of competence). I prefer to stick with what I know.
