I am cutting the cord May 3rd! It feels great!! Gonna kick around for a little while then start some volunteer work and take a cooking class so I can improve my menu selection for my dear wife. She has agreed to continue to work so I can continue in the manner in which I have been accustomed

Congratulations! Are you already feeling the relief from some of the stress? Do you coworkers know yet?

I started to mentally check out a year ago when my wife and I agreed on the date. I've been ramping up my retirement activities so I've been busy overall and life has been a little hectic. But the job stress went away about a year ago when the countdown began. I told the coworkers a couple of months ago, and since then I've been bypassed for almost all new work.
