Some people just don't respect other's cultures.

It is easy to do dumb things when you are drunk.

Best to avoid being drunk if you possibly can.

The story I heard -hearsay all- was that the Swiss guy had just broken up with his girlfriend. Supposedly the gf has several portraits of the king in their room (quite common in Thailand) and this was his way of getting some revenge.

Except that the crime in it's entirety was recored by a closed circuit television

The King of Thailand is internationally regarded as a truly decent man who works tirelessly for the benefit of his beloved subjects. He routinely pardons incarcerated criminals on December 5, his birthday.

Anyway TIT (This is Thailand) and it's like sorta not nice to "speak some word not good" about the king...
