Are you accessing the site from the web page or app? If you're using the app, there's an arrow in the upper right hand corner. Touch or click that, then touch advanced and touch attach from photo. That's how I attach photos, it took me awhile to figure it out.

Khan, the paper clip only shows up on the "post reply" function not on the "post quick reply". If you use the "go advanced" button next to quick reply it will also make the paperclip available.

Went for an hour-long motorcycle ride for the first time in almost three weeks. The weather was warm enough (50° F) and the roads finally clear & dry. Last chance 'till next week or maybe beyond with cold, rain, & snow in the forecast.

Wrote three letters for DW closing FIL's credit card accounts. One of the little things I could do for her in handing the estate.

About 6 feet. He's not vicious but that beak can do serious harm.

I'm working through closing out a trust my uncle had at his death 4+ years ago and now that my aunt passed late in 2013 it's time to make distributions. Nobody to help me though except the attorney and tax specialist I am using for advice and tax prep. I think this estate is pretty streamlined though compared to many others stories. It should be all wrapped up after taxes are filed for my aunt and the trust and then I can make the final distributions. Most of the letters, house sale, and such were taken care of after uncle passed and aunt lived the past 6 years in an adult foster care home due to her disability.

Lazed around the house today...I slept in until 10 AM.

I went through my tax records folder and sorted receipts and tallied up different deduction categories. Just waiting on the 1099Rs now.
I did another mini-stepper session, half of what I overdid 2 days ago.
Mr B made a wicked delicious Yankee pot roast in the crockpot.
I am actually seeing bare ground around the edges of the yard. We've had a nice January thaw here for the past few days.

2nd week into retirement, 1st week at home, so this was like the actual 1st day. I lazed in the bed having fruit, English muffin & coffee. Finally got dressed an went to the movies to see August: Osage County...excellent. Came home and thought... I'm retired , now what. I spent years planning and now it's here. I'm transitioning, reflecting & celebrating....it feels so so good not to feel rushed. Instead of having a schedule, I decided to make a list things/errands and each day I'll pick out one or two to do sometime during the day when I feel like it. I'm slowly adjusting....

That's the neat thing... you can take all the time you want to do anything. And if you don't want to do "that" today, it's easy to put it off until tomorrow.

The only activity I've committed to is the gym 3-4 times a week.

The lack of urgency has been interesting. Now, if something doesn't get done today, it can be done tomorrow. I also just pick off a couple things at a time rather than trying to cram as much as possible into a limited amount of time like I would when I was w*rking.

We went to the beach the day before yesterday. We're there 2 or 3 times a week, more often now that I figured a way to keep the umbrella anchored in the sand despite the strong wind.

Made Scotch Eggs. I have wanted to try this since I was introduced to them at Britt's Pub in Minneapolis 15 years ago. A Scotch egg is basically a boiled egg wrapped in sausage and coated with bread crumbs, and in my case, baked. They can also be deep fried for more authenticity. They turned out nicely. Sorry, no pictures -- maybe next time.

Oh, you have to remove the egg shell -- just FYI.

Very rewarding time last night, teaching a free class on introduction to six sigma for a group of 22 unemployed/underemployed veterans. Paying it forward.

What fun to ride in a Tesla! And yes, the market has been so pleasant to follow lately.

We are both fighting off colds and enjoying each day of retirement even so. I am SO looking forward to American Idol which starts tonight, and he is thanking heaven that he doesn't have to watch it. We are both thinking of dropping cable TV and our landline phones, and are researching other options in our spare time.

DH and I have been talking about making changes to our master bath. Installing a new shower stall, fixtures, cabinet counter top, toilet and bathtub.

During our discussion today, we talked about the bathtub. He was wanting to replace it, then I had an idea. Considering the fact he has never used the bathtub, and I've only used it a few times, why should we buy something we won't use? We prefer to use the bathtub in the guest bathroom only on rare occasions.

Instead of replacing the tub in the master bath, we're considering removing the tub and filling the space with a cabinet that would have an area in the middle for a small chair and storage on the sides.

At some point when we sell the house, if someone wants a tub, they'll be able to put one in as we are going to leave access to the plumbing.

Of course before any of this happens, we'll contact a plumber and electrician.

Have you considered using the space where the tub is for a bigger/more interesting shower and then repurpose the space where the existing shower is for dressing/storage?
