Had school...learned some amazing things.
Went to a friend's house and practiced scalp and face massage on her for an hour.
Relax and go to sleep.

Went on another 2-day Amtrak / bike wine-tasting trip up to the Solvang area. Perfect weather (low 70's, clear), went to several events.

Some young kids (21+) learned some valuable lessons on "don't be a smart-aleck to a badge" on the way back. A large group of them boarded after an all-day wine-tasting. Some were clearly drunk. About 10' away from me, one refused to show the ticket-taker his ticket, instead offering a series of jokes. He did the same when the asst conducter was called, and when the conducter was called. He finally offered his ticket, but was told he was being tossed off the train at the next stop. He then disappeared. When his nearly passed-out girlfriend could not produce a ticket and would not identify her boyfriend, she was told she was off also. When we stopped at Ventura, cops were waiting. The train was searched, but the guy had gone to another car and bolted as soon as we stopped. The girl refused to go, and was led off by the officers in handcuffs. The 5 or 6 friends of the girl near me kept asking the conductor and police "what did she do" "that was so unfair" etc until the conductor threatened to throw the whole group off. Several more of the group were led off the train for questioning, but were let back on. Finally things calmed down and we left about an hour late. One moron in the group then opened a bottle of wine from his pack and proceeded to chug it over the next half hour (very lucky the conductor did not see him) and changed from a guy who had help defuse the situation in Ventura to an a**hole swearing, making vague threats about a**-kicking the police / conductor / moron-who-started-the-whole-thing.

Today didn't do much. Kinda misty here. Or was that me crying after looking at my Fidelity acct? Anyway.......took the mutt on a walk this morning. Had lunch at my moms house. Amazing she can still crank out good Sunday lunches. Roast beef, lima beans, rice, pear salad and homemade biscuits. Will be 91 next month.:) This afternoon, watched a couple of Hannibal Lecter movies on USA network. He's such a devil.;)

Today was the final exams day for my massage students here in Chapala, Mexico.

Billy and I both had to 'endure' 3 people giving us Thai massages and then graded their performance so that they could achieve their certificate --- or not -- and then be able to work at the tennis courts here.

After reviewing their performance and giving the certificates out, I joined a couple of girlfriends at a local lakeside restaurant where we had a casual 3 hour lunch discussing husbands, politics, and personal dreams. Had great laughs and enjoyed the outdoor seating. My part of the bill was $6.50 (and we didn't skimp on food!)

Then I walked the long way home (about 90 seconds from the restaurant and lakeview) and joined Billy for happy hour. Made some quick dinner for him and a salad for me and did some reading.

Now, I'm on this board.

Wanna trade?

Worked a couple of hours early this morning. Sure is nice to just get up, pour up a cup of coffee and get right at it. Took the mutt to the vet today just for routine shots. She didn't like it either. The below pic was taken at my mother's house just a few minutes ago. Wish you could have seen her face when she was getting her shots. :D A little later I will fire up the grill for a nice steak. Might have to chase it down with a cold one. :)

Dawg, it looks like all is forgiven! Your pooch looks pretty happy in the photo, so probably no long-term trauma from the vet's visit. Your dog's face just has "man's best friend" written all over it.

Such a sweet-lookin' pooch Dawg. :)

I've got guests coming tonight for the w.e. I need 2 cold ones...:p

Fed horses
Fired up the mule & checked/fed cows
Scoped out the watershed for ducks & geese
Online & peruse markets, email, faxes, phone calls

Feed store...yikes the critters will bankrupt me!
Met with power company engineer re: extend line onto ranch
Filled tanker trailer with water - hauled to other ranch to water cows
Hiked to creek with Jack Russells
Talked to bro about Obama & possible "1031" on business property
Checked bull field
Talked to horse trainer friend re: a colt issue
Laundry
Cooking a big ol' roast...yup, in the crockpot
Trimmed trees
Played phone tag with BF....caveat: don't date a cowgirl
Think I'll grab a book & head for the rack.

Got up and ate a quick snack for breakfast. Went to coffee shop for BS session with the gang. Stuffed some insulation into the foundation vents and put the plywood over them for the winter. Cleaned/organized (some more) my hobby room. Came in and baked a batch of chocolate chip cookies. Taste tested said chocolate chip cookies. Ate an early supper. Went to the monthly blue grass jam downtown at the episcopal church. Got home about a half hour ago, and had a tall cold one (milk that is) and another chocolate chip cookie (don't want to take a chance of them getting stale). Now checking email and forum, and then gonna watch the rest of the Penny Gilley Show on RFD-TV, and then hit the pillows!

Wanna trade?

Hee hee... We like our lifestyle pretty well, thanks... Billy is out playing tennis now on the (newly lighted) tennis courts.

I'm going to an art show later this afternoon - after I give him a Thai Massage when he comes back from playing tennis.

It's a tough life, huh?

Be well,
