Spring has finally sprung here - last week we had a snow storm, this week 20C+ weather - the bikes are out, so the weight should be coming off soon.

OK, here I go:

1/1/10: 133 (start of diet)
3/15/10: 124 (just before vacation)
4/20/10: 124

First goal: get below 120 by May 30th
Second goal: get to 115-117 range - AND STAY THERE

I thought today would be a good day to start, as I am traveling for the next 6 days; knowing I have to post again as soon as I get back will help me stay on target as I eat all my meals out!

Hey Karen - thanks and welcome!!

You sure have done well taking off 9 pounds in just 2 1/2 months - takes some dedication! Good luck staying good while traveling - so difficult! It's very cool we have such similar targets/heights. I'd like to get back down into the teens but haven't had the dedication/motivation. Maybe swimsuit season will kick me to the next level, LOL.
 
I am posting again. I have no idea when I last posted or how much I weighed and don't feel like going back and looking, so I am just going with today's weight, 4/21/10 115.4

We have been walking for a few weeks now and I have been eating much healthier, especially for breakfast and lunch. I slip up here and there. I am leaving for a 2 day trip to Amish country Friday and always eat too much. If I remember to post next week, I am sure my weight will be up.
 
Thanks for the warm welcomes! I managed to go to SF/Napa on a mini-vacation and not gain weight! The wine drinking was off-set by biking in the valley, and playing tennis and working out a few times. Now, to get back on weight-LOSS track...

Last week's weigh-in showed me up 1.5 lbs, but this week's was better -- down 3 lbs! So I'm below the 220 mark for the first time in over five years. Yahoo!

Promptly had a margarita to celebrate. And enchiladas. And chocolate. ;)

Not worried, I'm still on-budget for points.

Ruh-oh! Totally cheated on my diet this weekend. DH and I got take out BOTH Fri and Sat night, which means leftovers for the lunch next day. AND, I had multiple pina colada's on Sunday. So I deserve the bad reading!

As I used to say to my kids every few weeks, "this time I'm serious." I went to WeightWatchers last Thursday for the first time since Thanksgiving, when I apparently wasn't serious. But today after my 62nd "first week" on the program, I lost 4.6 lbs. I think I'll work toward a 25 lb. goal to begin with which will put me well on my way to a healthy weight, so will report as follows for my own amusement :D . No, seriously :D .

Goal beginning 4/22: -25 lbs.
4/29, Week 1: -4.6 lbs.
 
I also have been on a weight loss kick . I lost seven pounds just by going to the gym regularly and for the last few weeks my SO & I have been doing low carb . We had weigh ins today . I've lost another five pounds so I only have six more to meet my goal . That will put me at my looking good weight and it is a weight I know I can maintain without incredible sacrifices . My SO lost 22 pounds but he is a lot heavier than me . Losing weight is so much harder as you age . I'd like to say I have a loft goal for my weight loss but it is mainly to look better. I am amazed at how dedicated the Wednesday weigh in people are .You are all doing great !

It looks like good progress has been made overall this week, well done folks :clap:

One of the things I liked when I did WW at work was that the leader would announce the collective weight loss for the week, and accumulated for the group from the start of the program. It felt a bit like the stock market reporting without any specifics, where individual stocks go up and down, but collectively if it was heading in a postive direction you felt encouraged to do a little better yourself next week.

I'm on a month's long vacation and I left the scales at home but I'll still be reading the thread and getting motivated to be good. (health wise that is ;))
 
Had my weigh-in at WW today. Holding steady at 218.

Given that I barely exercised last week due to the sprained ankle acting up again, I'll take it.

Not much new to report - busy work week, only exercised about every other day. Trip to the beach with friends meant eating out and a few extra drinks. Need to be SERIOUS this week! :)

If all of you report your results in the same format, and I'd suggest Ronstar's format, some ex-scientist/engineer (not necessarily me) might someday be inclined to suck the data into a spreadsheet, and combine and analyze the results in interesting ways.

Gary & I are doing our weigh ins on Thursday .
I am still down 5 pounds . I have 6 pounds to go to my goal unless I change my goal . Gary has lost 24 pounds ( I hate men ). The problem is we are leaving on a cruise Sat. morning so hopefully we'll do okay .

You'll probably reach your goal on the cruise if not before, you'll do so much walking from one end of the ship to the other!

Good results for me this morning at Weight Watchers. The honeymoon period continues:

5/6, Week 2, -2.6 lbs: -7.2 lbs. total

Well, I don't deserve to be down this week. I ate OK, but didn't exercise enough. Will definitely hit the gym today - we are almost 1/2 way through the month and I haven't re-started to lose. :( My S.O. is out of town this weekend, so I will have more time to myself that I intend to dedicate to some really good workouts!
