We are meeting our friends who will be in town for the weekend (coming early for a conference).
We live about 4 hours away and will be driving in late Fri eve and leaving Sunday morning. So that means we will have pretty much just one full day and eve (Sat) in NOLA. We are staying downtown and will be near Bourbon Street but not right on it. We will have easy access to the St. Charles Streetcar line from our hotel. I was just reading about the VisiTour Pass ($5 for all day pass), and we may take advantage of that.
We've been to NOLA one time but just for the night so really just got to take in Bourbon Street. Looking for tips on what to do that is walkable (staying near the intersection of Carondelet St and Common St) and/or accessible via the streetcar that you think is a "don't miss it" NOLA experience! We don't feel like driving anywhere on this trip (but that's not out of the question for future visits).
Looking forward to getting away for a fun weekend!
