And even more shocking, the 7-11 refused to take Mexican pesos in payment last time I returned from Mexico with extras. The nerve!

Luckily there are ATMs all over Mexico that let you tap your account with a debit card and get Pesos at a pretty good rate that changes daily. When I was there (Quintana Roo) about a year ago we used to tap the ATM about every other day for a couple of hundred bucks at a whack.
