A number of us have outdoor flagpoles, so a reminder may be appropriate for this coming Monday (in the USA).
Memorial Day is different from all other days in terms of flag etiquette.
In the morning, hoist the flag to the top of the staff, then immediately lower it to half-staff until noon. At noon, raise it back to the top for the rest of the day.
Doing this little ceremony once a year is something I appreciate, since it makes me think about why the day is special.
