I'm 62 and will have 6 years in January. We are in that early boomer group that always seems to be setting trends. Every time I hear of a new trend it seems I have been doing it for a while (like cycling is the new golf). I guess Er at mid 50's was one. The only trend I skipped was the mega-mansion LAYM (live above your means) lifestyle a lot of our peers chose. But they won't be responding to this poll.

68, retired 4 months. The nearest year group would be 0? Well, I voted 1, there being no group 0.

62 years old (but look and act much, much younger ;)) Retired (fully, no income other than SS and passive investment) for 4.5 years.

Ah, I'm the Old Man in the group again. Fully retired for 17 years, since age 53, now 71. Born in 1939, I'm older than the Baby Boomers, belonging to the "Silent Generation". Do I strike you as silent?

Baby Boomer here, retired 15 years next month.

Surprise! It looks like we are mostly .......early retirees! :D

Let's see....52 when I went PT but that was ONLY because the PT was part of the deal when selling my practice....so that's what I voted!

Gonna be fiddeesix if I make it another 2 weeks or so....been wonderful (except for that stock market thingy shortly after :banghead: ...still working through that but have been lucky enough to NOT have to consider heading back to the salt mines!)

Dex, can I vote if I am ESR'ed?

Looks like 55-59 is the mode.

No surprise there. 55 is the beginning of official early retirement for most companies.

Currently age 62 (63 in just over a month  ). Retired at age 59, a bit over 3.5 years (life is good :ROFLMAO: )....

What makes this type of poll somewhat irrelevant is that so many "retired" folks still have working spouses.

Yeah, no fair!

63 (+) retired at 58 (+)

Spouse retired earlier (about 55). So there!

Age 52 now.
FIREd at age 48 yrs 7 mos, on April 1, 2007
I resigned under FERS deferred retirement MRA+10 rules, and am technically not "retired" until age 56. :D

I am 47 and retired 2 years ago at age 45. I just began my 3rd year of ER this month.

It is nice seeing money (monthly dividends from bond mutual funds) just pop into my bank account each month without having to do anything to earn it! :)
