In preparation for my move I have been cleaning stuff out. Goodwill and Craigslist are my friends. So far the oddest thing I have found is the old album: All Pooped Out, by Yogi Yorgesson, with Johnny Duffy and the Scandahoovians.

I remember my uncle playing this record when I was a kid. I never knew why he always called those people from northern Europe Scandahoovians, but now I do!

OMG! I have an old album my dad bought in the 50s with "I Yust Go Nuts at Christmas" on it. It's a keeper.

DW's great-uncle (now departed) just *hated* these 'novelty' Scandinavian/Swedish songs.

I think he had a point. They are kinda the equivalent of 'minstrel' songs, really. Plus, he was in a Swedish Glee Club, and sang "real" Swedish songs. It is funny to find stuff like that on youtube though.
