You’re not the only one. I bought a house a year before we married, added ex to the deed ten years later, and ten years after that we divorced. She kept the house, but we split everything fairly.
No regrets. She contributed as much as I did through remodels, raising kids, etc.
In the OP’s situation, I would be careful. I wouldn’t give 30k to DD if there was a chance her partner would get it anytime soon. If they separate after 20+ years after raising kids, etc, it wouldn’t bother me.
