delayed retirement credits

My husband started collecting ss at 67 and 9 months in Oct 2020. He only got paid delayed credits for age 67. I know this year the 9 months should of kicked in but are still not being received. I called ss and they didn't act like they knew what I was talking about. Anyone else having this issue getting delayed credits for this year? I checked ss and his next payment comng in April 2021 still does not have the credits added

They’ll typically recalculate the additional DRC’s in the fall and send a deposit for the difference from January to then. Should they do it right away in January, yes. Do they? No.
