I bought a reconditioned mattress in 1997, from a feller in the local classifieds. He had a dozen of them stacked up in his garage.

I went to a mattress store yesterday and tried several, and of course I liked the firm $2300 Sealy mattress best. When my daughter moved from a rental into a house, she bought a new mattress and brought her old one to the room she had in our house. I tried it last night, I will say it is comfortable to lay in, but I'm not sure it made any difference in my sleep. Now that I think about it, I should get a series of sleep patterns with my Fitbit in both beds to compare.

Definitely!!!! I bought a mattress online based on my niece's recommendation. It came across the country, got rerouted, arrived at our house a couple weeks later in the shape of a torpedo, and looked like it got dropped from a plane.


It never made it into the house. I told the Fedex guy to send it back. We then went to a mattress store, tested several, ordered one, and it was delivered and installed within 2 weeks.
