When we were on our way to Antarctica I asked ChatGPT to write a brief poem about geriatrics taking a trip there. It cranked out a great little poem but I can't find it in text. Some of the people traveling with us had also gone rafting in the Grand Canyon so we asked it to do one for that. It isn't as good but it's better than I would do:
Geriatrics raft the Grand Canyon's tide,
With laughter and with grace, they'll glide,
Along the rushing waters, bold and free,
Adventure awaits them, just wait and see.
With wrinkled skin and silver hair,
They prove that age is just a number there,
They dance with waves and bask in sun,
Their spirits young, their hearts as one.
The Canyon walls a work of art,
A natural canvas, a masterpiece in part,
The geriatrics raft, and bask in its view,
A journey once in a lifetime, a dream come true.
So let's raise a cheer for these seniors bold,
Whose zest for life will never grow old,
For they've shown us that adventure awaits,
At every age, and that it's never too late.
