Whatever Medigap (supplement) insurance company you pick for your Medigap plan check to see how many "closed block of business." (deadpool) policies the company has.
Anyone familiar with Medigap companies that have done this? Trying to avoid the mistake I made by signing up with Transamerica 7 years ago. Thanks

Transameirca shut down their Medigap offerings altogether, which is different from the closed book game that companies like Mutual of Omaha, Aetna, Cigna partake in.

I have "heard" USAA and State Farm have not ever closed a book but I have no idea if that is true. I try to file it away in my memory for the future.
