I think that shows ”practice makes perfect”, you have improved your skills just by doing it. In addition, regularly solving it without hints gives one the confidence and motivation that hints are no longer needed, which leads people to make a greater effort to solve without the hint.
In other words, it’s self-fulfilling and self-sustaining.
