When my Dad died at 95, I put the obit in the local paper (Toronto Star) and several of his former workmates from 30 years before showed up at the funeral home to pay their respects. It is money well spent.
In fact the funeral home was amazed at the number of visitors for a man of his age. Especially since he had outlived most of his friends and relatives.
