I’m planning on when to claim for SSA. My spouse will be claiming spousal benefits off my earnings record. As I’m 13 months older than her I’d planned to claim at age 68yrs 1 month which would be her FRA of age 67. Now I’m wondering if I should claim at age 68yrs 7 months and have her claim retroactive benefit back to her FRA. Thoughts?

I doubt that's possible. She can only claim spousal once you have filed. You wouldn't have filed 6 months previously, so there would be nothing for her to claim.

 thank you of course that makes sense.
