"So, when are you going to retire?" (LONG)

I just tell them I retired on the job years ago, and everything seems to be working out okay so far, so I'll probably keep it up.

What concerns me is that once it's believed that someone is retiring, that person gets put on the shelf for good assignments, and sometimes moved to undesirable assignments or seating.

Gee, we had some renovations done at w*rk and we all had to move offices and switch things around. Well all my folks know I am SIRE in March and when my boss was shifting out where we would end up I ended up in the old mail room. Well I always heard that many start out in the mail room but it is odd that I am ending up in (the old) one. Me guesses they are just letting me know that they are already "making plans" for my ultimate "exit stage left".

Hay in five months and five day I think I will be having the last laugh!! :ROFLMAO:

Keep them guessing and retire when you're good and ready. No need to explain yourself to anyone.
