This is difficult as DH/me, for many years, went to 2-3 movies/week. We were all into the directors, the writers, the truthiness of true movies, the music, the actors and their past movie/TV careers. I'm female and my choices might be surprising to some. We enjoyed indies and found the theaters that supported them. What are yours?
I consider movies that I can recite lines, remember exact locations or scenarios. I can hear a small phrase and know what movie it was from.
Here goes:
1. Tombstone - I can watch this movie over and over and never get tired of it.
2. Kill Bill, probably both 1 and 2 but it only counts as one. I've never missed a Quentin Tarantino movie, but I have to pick one(2).
3. Gone With the Wind. I say this because the quality and acting of this epic project. There's an intermission! I was not bored for one second and have seen it multiple times. There are major differences from the book, regardless, it's one of my best. It frames the time period beautifully and I loved the selfish and cunning nature of Scarlett.
4. The Godfather (1 and 2) and again counts as one. This is my post and I make the rules.
5. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy.
6. Star Wars
7. Forest Gump
8. China Town
9. The Good The Bad and The Ugly
10. Bonnie and Clyde
