Friday we drove back from Morgantown, WV (well, DW did the driving, I was far too exhausted to drive) and arrived home a bit after noon. Basically I pretty much slept for the rest of the day and night and I'm still feeling 20 years older than my age. Apparently this is going to take a while to recover from. I'm not planning any activity until at least the middle of next week.
Last month I had ordered a new R/C model airplane that was on backorder and it arrived shortly after we got home. I haven't even bothered to take it out of the box because I'm too tired to fool with it. That's a new level of "tired" for me.
Heck of a game last night.Lets go Knights.
I am intrigued by these machines too. I looked at the websites for a couple of fitness center (LA Fitness and Planet Fitness) to see if they carried NuStep machines, but with no success. It seems that if you want to know detailed information about the equipment at a fitness center you need to make an appt and come in for a personal visit (gosh, I can't imagine why )Thank you both. DW is going to check around with the various gym chains in our city, see if any of them have those machines.

I'd say they have this series wrapped up.
Went to an AM Dr. appt. with the PCP and we both had a good 20-minute or so visit, he explained a lot about what was going on with the ERCP and endoscopic ultrasound, the reason for the two stents, and much else. Also about why I was feeling so exhausted (partially because I didn't eat anything for three days and very little for several days after that). Apparently these procedures are a bit more disruptive to one's systems than I had thought and I need to be more patient with the recovery period. Anyway, the "good news" is that I lost 5 lbs., but wow, that's a tough way to lose weight! Most definitely not recommended.
Then went to Ruby Tuesday's with DW and got a smoky mountain chicken (grilled chicken breast covered with bacon, melted cheese & BBQ sauce) rice, and green beans. To my astonishment I cleaned the plate, normally impossible to do so I guess my body is telling me something.
Got home, finally opened the box with the new R/C airplane, and ordered a set of Allen wrenches that will be needed to assemble it. I know I have the set somewhere but I can't find them. Oh, well, I'll probably find the old set when the new ones arrive.
Amazing.Posted this post, which is my 40,000th post on the Early Retirement Forum.
Still haven't caught up with REWahoo's impressive post count, though! Doubt I ever will.
When I arrived here, I was a young thing in my 50's, still working full time at my career job and just dreaming that some day I might retire. Life is much better now that I have been retired for 9 years although getting older is the pits and worse than I had thought it would be. However, being able to do what I want, when I want to do it is much better than I thought it would be.
