The NFL owners will be the biggest winners, as they always are.

The NFL is an amazing money-making machine. Dan Snyder has run the Washington now-Commanders franchise into the dirt for almost 25 years, with losing on-field performance, a poor game-day experience, and constant scandals, and will still get between $5 and 7 billion for the team.

It certainly helps that DC and Virginia will compete to spend a billion or so towards a new stadium for the team.

Enjoy the game Phillifan. Hopefully it’s a fun game that isn’t decided by injuries or questionable calls. Pardon me for not rooting for the Eagles though. Reid, Mahomes, and the boys are going to be ready to give you all they have.

The last time the Eagles were in the Super Bowl, I rooted for them as I had an indirect personal connection to their head coach at the time (plus it helped that they were playing the hated Patriots :)).

This time I am rooting for KC, primarily as I would like to see Andy Reid win a 2nd Super Bowl. Plus he was also born in 1958, so I would like to see a Boomer coach win against a GenX coach. Completely rational items to base my rooting on :D.

I’m a big Phillies fan, but I don’t think they would do very well in the Super Bowl. Especially since they haven’t even started Spring Training. (Sorry, couldn’t resist)

I agree. After the injury to Purdy and then the replacement QB, the NFC Championship game was not very exciting.

Changed my mind... I wasn't going to bet on this SB but I'll be at a Sportsbook this weekend and after a few beers, I'll probably place a modest bet, just to make it interesting for me.

Now, Which team  How much  Points or Moneyline

Decisions, decisions. Maybe I'll use the results of this poll to help me make my decisions.... Or maybe not... :)

If you are a Houston Oiler sports fan and want a dog in a championship fight, you have picked the wrong sport. The days of Bud Adams and Bum Phillips are long gone. And the Texans are much, much worse.

Try Baseball or even Basketball.

Not only are the Texans a bad team, they are playing worse than when they started out as an expansion team after the Oilers left town.

My Bad for typing too fast . Fixed it for myself and future readers.

The winners next week during the combined Super Bowl Week and Phoenix Open Week will be bars, hotels, casinos, rental car companies, and Uber & Lyft drivers.

Philly girl here - do I need to say more? However, the Chiefs are my second favorite team, so this is going to be quite a game, not to mention two opposing team brothers to boot.

I fully comprehend the topography of Houston professional sports. I only made reference to the Oilers because I have never gotten fully on board with the Texans.

I didnt love Bud Adams but Harris county gave McNair much more than Bud had asked for and McNairs have given Harris county a poor overall product in return

Very few did "especially" after he continued to live in Houston (River Oaks area $$,$$$,$$$) after he moved the Oilers to Tennessee. IIRC he lived alone at the time of his death.

And personally, I liked (still do) the Astrodome better than NRG stadium (Again, IIRC, one of the biggest reasons he moved the Oilers was because he couldn't get a new stadium built in Houston)

Sorry, now back to the original topic (Because the Texans aren't an option for the SB.) :)

Here is my SB prediction:

Eagles 27, Chiefs 24

Total Chiefs fan girl here. Love Andy Reid. Go Chiefs!

Really... the Mets not playing this year:confused::confused:
I think you are confusing the Mets with the New England Patriots. [emoji3]

In New England, Super Bowl Sunday is preferred to as Patriots Day. [emoji3]

Legends in their own minds. :)

Anyway, "they" moved to Tampa Bay a few years ago and have since retired. One of them retired twice, so far... :2funny::2funny:

I'm expecting the Eagles to win but I wouldn't bet money on it. If Mahomes' ankle doesn't impact his play then it should be a fun high scoring game that could go either way.

I agree. The status of Mahomes’ ankle is the difference maker.

I’ll take the Chiefs, as any Giants fan would.

Any way, we will have a good SB party at the firehouse!

Just read that Sneed cleared concussion protocols. That helps.
