Give me a museum and I'll fill it. (Picasso) Give me a forum ...
There's a huge difference between Edison and Musk...
Really?

Yeah. For one, Edison is a lot older.Really?
Yeah. For one, Edison is a lot older.
I never met either, and don't have feelings either way, although I must admit to being deeply grateful to Mr. Edison for inventing the phonograph, from which I have enjoyed countless hours of pleasure.I know Musk is a hero to many people, but the previous comparison of him to Edison was beyond ridiculous...
You don't understand the amazing drive of the tesla
The electric gives you instant effortless power with unbelievable acceleration. I find out I end up getting places much faster due to this.
The electric cars are completely quiet with no vibration or rumble from the gas motor vibrating.
Like I said 95 percent of buyers buy again.
You have to experience it to understand it.
Agreed. He is kind of out there.
I find that very hard to believe. Got a source for that? They say 95 percent of tesla owners that buy an additional car , actually buy a tesla Not asked what they would buy
I have a model s 85d and a model 3 on order for my daughter
I'm not a car guy either but there is nothing like a tesla
Range is never an issue. Every morning you leave with a full tank and I get 275 miles of range. There are superchargers everywhere and you get about 80 percent charge in about 40 minutes
The autopilot is amazing on highways, not so good on side streets
I have over 50k miles in two years.
I am completely convinced that all cars will go electric in the future
Will never go back to gas
History will determine that.I know Musk is a hero to many people, but the previous comparison of him to Edison was beyond ridiculous...
When I refer to quiet, I mean engine noise
The amount of time I spend charging is much less than I spend putting gas in.
History will determine that.

I know. Not a car enthusiast myself, but (at the risk of irritating the Tesla naysayers ) I like the Tesla. It has nothing to do with Mr. Musk, and getting one is out of the question because it doesn't match my needs. It just seems to me that the automotive future is one step closer, and in a stylish way, and I get to witness that in real time.I would guess that the people who love Tesla cars are the same ones that enjoy getting the latest smart phones, laptops, tablets, and other new technology when it first comes out.
This forum has a lot of members who take pride on using a flip phone and hanging on to old cars, old computers, and old tech devices much longer than average. Tesla is likely a car for the millennial generation, or at least those who think like a millennial.
I would have thought this thread would generate enthusiasm from other Tesla owners or prospective owners. But it seems like most of this thread is just a bunch of curmudgeons coming up with all sorts of reasons to not like the car.
So to all of you, I say "GET OFF MY LAWN!"
