So I'm easily confused so please bear with me. 2 SS questions I wanted to confirm my understanding:

1) Wife started SS at FRA of 66. Gets about $1,500. Husband waiting till close to 70, with projection of $3,500 at 70.
Can husband now 66 file for spousal and draw $750 a month and then switch to his own benefit of $3,500 at 70?

2) Husband and wife both 61 today. FRA is 67. Can one start SS at 67 and other draw spousal at 67 and then switch to her own benefit at later time and allow her benefit to grow ?

Thanks for your time and replies.

It was a great benefit while it lasted. My wife and I came in just under the wire. I'm not surprised they killed it.

same here; I'm pulling a spousal on her account right now. In January I'll start my regular SS at 70.
