Algebra geniuses out there?

Hey, maybe she just had a hankering for algebra. I had the very foolish notion I wanted a minor in math, but 3rd year calculus did me in.........:nonono:
When I transferred from a Computer Engineering major (hardware emphasis) to Computer Science (programming/software emphasis), it saved me from needing to take differential equations after I finished my third semester of calc...

Ask a math question and geeks come crawling out of the woodwork!

Nobody has posted a graph yet, so I guess I have to.
quadratic.jpg
The blue curve is y = x^2 + 5x/2.
The red line is y = 5
The green little circles are the intersection: (-5 + sqrt(105))/4 and (-5 - sqrt(105))/4

Sorry, I can't help it. Once a geek, always a geek.

Ok, I understand. None of the firms I have worked for would hire anyone without a college degree so that's cool your firm did........:D

Wowed by my big hooters, I'm sure. :D

And I love love love the graph, Independently Poor! :flowers:

You guys are brilliant!
Little parabolas will be dancing across my dreams now.
:)

I would just like to state that I got a 723 on my math SATS in 1967 (jr. year of HS) and I do not know my X from my Y.
