Ever since I started reading this board a couple of years ago UncleMick (not yet UncleMick2) has stood out as one of those posters that everyone likes. We've worried about him through his hardships this past year and have admired his ability to keep his "heh heh" though it all. So, when I heard he was coming to town I really wanted to meet him, not only to put a face to this person that I've thought about so often, but to share a cup of coffee and maybe a donut with him and pick his brain a bit. Well, I met him this morning and ... he is a teenage girl from Missoula. Just kidding!

He's a really great guy in a blue Hawaiin shirt who has really gotten the hang of ER. We talked about how we've adapted to the changes that life brought us and sometimes when we can do ANYTHING that we want it is hard to decide what to do. He advised that I should not be scared to try new things (maybe he tapped into my fear of failure) but I should probably keep renting, just in case I change my mind!

Neither one of us has a kayak yet, but now we have each other's email address and a face to put with a name.

For some reason....I picture Jimmy Buffet when I read his posts ;) Any pics from your meeting. He he he.

So is he dating any Norweigan widows?

From what I gathered, they are just good friends.

Think more Harry Reid than Jimmy Buffet

Shiney, did you tell him about the fishing near Poulsbo:confused:
I don't know anything about that, we should have invited you to tell us all about it.

UncleMick?

Ok, well not exactly! :)

Lose the suit, ad a Hawaiin shirt, take the hair down an inch or two (crew cut that's grown out a bit), less red in the hair (more grey and brown)

Maybe he won't like this description. He's on a plane right now though, I guess he can set me straight tomorrow.

Good old PacNW - true to form - the heat wave broke the morning I put on my Jimmy Buffett shirt for coffee - grey, cool and overcast - reminded me of my youth. First impression - boy has it grown since Christmas 1969 - was basically lost most of my time in Kent, Auburn, Renton - even though technically I always got where I was going. Kalama, Kelso, Longview, Kent, Auburn, Covington.

I asked my BIL(da mining engineer) would you live here if you didn't have a job:confused: Heh heh heh - he likes the boonies.

He just smiled and said -'I couldn't afford to.' Which I took as a no.

Nice trip though. Still getting the hard sell from my sister. I still like Missouri.

heh heh heh - oh  and still being a cheap bastard - I let Shiny buy the coffee. She can post the picture if she wishes - but remember this - the photo could be doctered -?? - maybe I really am a girl from Missoula.

CFB - go for it.

Today's a end of the month pay some bills and kill off a few more DRIP plans kind of day.

heh heh heh heh heh

Amateur 20 second job, but its a full stack!

I still think you're a 16 year old girl from missoula and all of this is just a smoke screen.

If it was as hot out as its been earlier this week, I'd hang out and stick you in a kayak fishing with cut-throat...

UncleMick next visit go to the Olympic Peninsula, you should find great fishing.

My comment about Pulsbo was actually a reference to the number of Norwegian descendents in the area.  The Son's of Norway Hall is a busy place.

All guests are sworn to say: "It was gray and overcast all day."

If you do get around to it, please show C-T both with and without makeup... ;)

Oh my, not until I'm sure everyones digested their breakfast...

The latter somewhat resembles a piece of bacon thats been 'self cooked'...

It should be standard protocol, whenever 2 ERs meet the one with a working spouse should pay!

The Sons of Norway in Bellingham have a Swedish pancake breakfast one Saturday morning a month for $5. Get your lingonberries here! Sometimes with accordion music. :)
