Husband Submitted Paperwork

DH submitted his paperwork yesterday to retire from USPS on 5/12. He leaves the next day for his semi-annual golf trip with "the guys".
He keeps saying he wants to fast forward to 5/12. I caution him not to wish his life away as the date will soon be here.
I retired in August 2014 and have been really enjoying a ton of outdoor activities (live in the PNW) and retirement in general. I'm a little worried he may slow me down a bit, but looking forward to seeing him enjoying the rewards he has earned!

Congratulations to your DH!

You both will have some adjusting to do at first, so that he doesn't slow you down, but I'm sure you'll work it out. . There are some things you will do alone, some things together as a couple, and some things with other friends. It's just a matter of finding a balance that works for both of you, IMO.

My DW is not in a huge hurry for me to join her in RE. My date is next year, if I make it that long. She is concerned that I may not have enough to do.
