It's about $800/yr through USAA.
The old toys have been staying dormant.
On my own '40 Ford all steel, custom with modern running gear (warmed over 350/350), ~26K agreed value, I have comp/collision/liability/PIP, spare parts, annual appreciation from 2-8% etc. all for ~400-500/yr through American Collectors Ins.
I was frankly darn surprised at the low rate, but given the low miles/yr (I think I am 'allowed' maybe 2.5K or 5K, but I put on much less) and the need to keep garaged, it works for me.
When I reflected on it, it does makes sense -- when we were young teens in bailing wire equipped muscle cars, we paid through the nose because we were a huge liability. But now that we are old farts, with sweat and $$$ equity in our retro rides, and a lot more sense in our brains, we probably don't have a very high claim rate at all as a group.
