This bill was HR 8487. Somehow it became HR 3173. And it passed the House on 9/15/22. I know that passing the Senate and getting the bill signed are hurdles. I also know that implementation, if passed, could take years. But it is a spot of sunshine. The law hopes to cut down on Medicare Advantage denials. The law hopes to speed up MA pre-authorizations. The law hopes to make MA plans accountable for denials that should have been approved.
