Going to Puerto Vallarta in a couple of weeks, questions.

About this time tomorrow we will be landing in PV. We have been to the other side (Cancun, Playa Del Carmen, Cozumel etc.) many times but it is the first time to PV.

Krisaquit.....where do you stay in PV's Romantic zone? Looking for a smaller hotel. Thanks.



We have been to PV and environs several times but always in an AI. We anticipate doing 6-8 week of independent travel in Mexico starting in Huatulco and working back up the coast in Jan. We will fly down on a one way ticket. We may spend all of our time in Mexico or go fly down to Costa Rica or Panama for two or three weeks. We typically only plan a few days in advance on these trips.

We stay at Casa Cupula, which is more accurately in the hills of Amapas (a good hike up hill from Zona Romantica). It is gay owned/operated, so maybe not your style. Many nice small boutique hotels in that area — pricey, but amazing views.

Winding down now, walked our tails off, saw all we needed. Looking forward to getting home. Best outings were whale watching and the botanical gardens. Saw Bucerias, Sayulita, Mismaloya & Los Arcos. As well as the usual downtown PV trudging, Nuevo Vallarta and Real Estate reviewing. Weather was perfect all week.
