We will be in Martha's Vineyard for a couple of days in late September. Would appreciate your recommendations for places to stay and eat and any other thoughts. Thanks!

The house where we lived... Can't speak for it today, but we rented it for $90/month while we lived in MV in the late 1960's. Now a B & B

Look up 1720 house.

Could've bought it for $30K . A few days, okay, but to rent the whole house for a week in July or August, ummm... $8400.00.

We loved the Vineyard, and I could have stayed there forever... 'cept we early on had 3 sons, and had to take the promotion to off-island... to Falmouth. Had to make a living.

Could write a book on how wonderful it is, but a nice shortcut to reviews is on Google Maps reviews.

recent review...

One of the most beautiful towns in the world with doll houses like houses. Right out of the fairytale books. Very lovely evening and sunset views. Must go place with friends and family. Beautifully maintained by the residents. Most picturesque town ever. Clean and sparkling. A ferry takes you from Boston to this lovely town.

How I envy you.:greetings10:
