My iPhone Doesn't Ring Consistently

Poor cell signal inside the house. WiFi calling allows internet to extend the range/signal. Quite handy.
That’s the main use case, but there are others.

We’ve used WiFi calling on board Viking Cruises and it has worked well - except for the neighbor who called us at 2AM not realizing we were midway across the Atlantic and not next door.

Why in the world do people set their phones to ring over wifi networks?

WiFi calling is awesome and critical! We wouldn’t be able to use our cellphones at home without it due to poor cell signal in our area. Plus when traveling our calls from overseas to the US and vice versa are free if we’re using WiFi calling.
