Thanks. I saw the Tracfone at Walmart for $20. Had to get a plan of some sort. But I guess I could cancel the plan after 60 days when the phone unlocks.

When my husband’s flip phone stopped working I turned to Consumer Cellular and he got an android smart phone for like $79. Only talk. No text coverage. For all eise he uses wireless in the house or if available elsewhere. $19 per month. He seems happy with it. $19 per month.

I got a tip in another thread a couple of days ago. Tracfone is selling on eBay (official site) and I bought two flip phones, 1200 MIN/1200 TXT/1200MB data, and a year subscription for $44. (https://www.ebay.com/itm/285030288045)

Re $19/month, on our two regular lines using Google Fi we pay $35/month total/both for unlimited calls and texts, huge international coverage, and $10/gig for whatever data we use. We are not heavy data users; most months our bill for data is just two or three dollars.
