I always find it interesting to see a picture of life from your/our world. Any pictures are welcome as life as we know it.

A picture from yesterday on a walk at the ranch looking down to river bottom. One of the first days to be out of the minus as a high in about 14 days.

Snowy San Juan river. 20210215_134455.jpeg

This pile was about 6-7’ high, but it’s higher now. I see that we are supposed to have mid 30s & sunshine for several days in a row, so we will be transitioning to slush and then mud :)

When youngest visited last week, we were away for the morning. A local hawk (probably red-tailed) must have been pursuing prey and crashed into one of the picture windows on second floor. This has happened before, and the bird(s) usually are stunned for a while, but eventually fly off.

I wish I could have been there, and watched her two dogs approach the hawk, which stretched out its wings as warning. Eventually she got the dogs back in house, and called us so we could share in her anxiety as we returned home.

Can't wait to see what's in store when she visits today!

^ Red-tailed hawk are one of my favorites to watch in the sky. I love their vocal sounds also.

There are some fantastic pictures!!!

Layin' low in our southern treehouse. A few acres to roam around outside does wonders for our sanity.

A picture of our street the day after an ice storm. Late afternoon sun. I just really love the textures, contrast and depth of this shot.

Triad in NC on Thursday

Ice storm. Trees looked like a winter wonderland. Gone in 4 hours.

You don't see these too often;

Wow, that's great. I imagine there are very few horse drawn hearses operating in this country.

Don't have a picture right now, but very much enjoying the pics posted.

That is a great picture of the week. Those horse driven hearses are used quite a bit my area but wagons are used. Longtime ranchers and cowboys seem to use them often. It really has brings back the yester years.
