How did you find out? Big News

So DW send me an email saying, "Hey, check out this picture of Tori." with an attachment. So I innocently click on the jpeg and see this:

What is that?? Who tells their DH they are having a baby this way?? Twisted sense of humor!

My competitive nature made me want to keep up with Brewer. But this made me think there must be a bunch of interesting stories about how people found out they were having a(nother) baby. How did you all learn the good news?

EDIT: oh, notice in good LBYM fashion DW bought the generic WalMart version of the EPT test.

DW found out that she was pregnant the morning before we left for a week long camping trip in wine country. Not only could she not drink, but it became unseasonably cold (20s in October at night), and we froze our butts off.

That depends on whose face is in those crosshairs...

As I approached shore duty, spouse and I agreed that the timing was auspicious to start a family without risk of the military's deploymentus interruptus. The conversation was frustrating, however, because it took place between the PI and Hawaii at about $2 per minute over a terrible connection and I had several more months to contemplate the discussion before we actually reunited. We'd watched other couples put themselves under the gun (so to speak) and we decided to give ourselves a couple years before we started fretting about performance pressure. Luckily the month after I returned we had a romantic weekend at a Bellows beachside cabin in the middle of a two-day power outage. Unluckily I went back out to sea the following week.

I came home one evening a few weeks later and asked "How was your day?" Spouse just pulled out the wand and pointed to the dot.

A few months later when we made the announcement her mother said "Oh, our family's women always get pregnant very easily." Gee, Mom, thanks for sharing that AFTER the fact!

The OB/GYN kept asking "Do you know about which month you got pregnant?" I guess she wasn't used to people telling her within a two-day margin of error.
