We spend about $300 per month, just under $210 for taxes and insurance and budget $100 for repairs.

Please note this is not how much did you spend on your home also this does not include upgrades or updates.

Edit: So we are all talking about the same thing please do not include utilities. Just what you pay, if you pay a mortgage than that amount if it's paid off how much you pay for your taxes, insurance, hoa and please estimate how much you pay or budget for repairs (monthly).

3k. This only includes payment,taxes, insurance and extra principal. 2 years to payoff then we will be around $500.00 a month for taxes and insurance.

Mortgage is paid off. Taxes and insurance is around $650 per month.

Bought it 32 years ago, so nothing today.

Are you renting?

LOL, Nope, Owned our home(s) with no mortgage since paying off the first in 1995. But we only have one at a time and always pay cash. That number includes utilities, HOA, EVERYTHING needed to run the home in 2018. Not a LCOL area. We like the amenities and neighbors where we are. We have friends that live in LCOL areas and it is not for us.

Property tax is $2400. Insurance $1000. We figure $100 monthly for maintenance. We've added a few things in the last couple years, a gas range and had the driveway paved.

Still much cheaper than our KC home with the ridiculous taxes.

Our property taxes are 700/year on a house worth 350k and insurance is 60/month.

Around $4K/mo. Could reduce by $1,850 if we paid off our mortgage, but no plans to do that since it’s fixed at 3.3875.

Property taxes last year were about $3600. However, we rent our 30-acre "back yard" to a local farmer who pays us $3700 per year. Insurance w/umbrella is about $1K annually.

About $6k a year for my studio apartment within a large co-op complex. And it's only that low this year because of two unexpectedly large property tax rebates which, along with the expected third one, nearly eliminated my property taxes due this year.

Property tax; $250
Insurance; $200
Upkeep; $200
-------------------------
Total; $650

Note; we have 5 acres, of which at least 1 full acre is landscaped and irrigated. Home value is approx $800,000

Property tax, HOA and insurance comes to $850/mo in our very HCOL area.

Some confusing answers above, how could you spend nothing?

We're at $459/mo - $152 prop tax, $105 insur, $71 HOA, $58 lawn fert, $73 other, $0 mortgage. But that's going to go up next year when DW buys her dream home...

I did not include utilities, TV, phone, etc. that would add considerably.

$2284.11 All in Per Month in 2018. (No Mortgage)

Just to break it down a little, for those who think that it is just Taxes and insurance are the only home costs. These are monthly numbers for 2018, I am not including all our, what we consider mandatory costs.

RE Taxes: $535
Insurance: $170 (Home, Flood, Termite Bond, Umbrella)
Cable & Internet: $130
Utilities: $300
Telephone: $80
House Maintenance: $300
HOA: $300

We live in what I call a Medium Cost of Living area.

I agree with you. Utilities should also be included. However, the OP specifically asks for taxes, insurance and repairs (no upgrades or remodeling)

I did not include remodeling. But home maintenance etc. is still running the home. There is also Pool maintenance, Tree Trimming and removals, the list goes on.

2018 expenses for my Dream Home, my dream come true:

Category |Yearly |Monthly
Insurance| $2,588 | $216
Property Tax| $1,701 | $142
Mowing| $1,295 | $108
Other Maintenance| $150 | $13
Total| $5,734 | $478

How many here can have a dream come true, at so low a price? :D I know, I am just blown away at how lucky I was to find this house, sometimes.

Purchased in June of 2015 for $225K in cash. Finished with the upgrades a couple of years ago. This is a 1500 sf brick home built in 1965, that has never flooded despite being 3.6' below sea level.

Nothing broke this year; the "Other Maintenance" was my annual termite inspection. The only other home maintenance costs I have had so far was $200 in 2017 to unclog my sink, $900 to replace very old columns on the front porch with new ones in 2017 (which might count as an upgrade), and $7,282 for a (wonderful!) new Trane HVAC system in 2016. Didn't exactly understand how you wanted all of this treated so I just put down what I spent in 2018 for maintenance.

Taxes = $1910
Insurance = $520
Termite insurance = $235
POA = $315

I won't get into storage room fees... :(

Property Taxes $245
Insurance (House and contents) $10
Maintenance budget $100

Total $355 / month

House purchased in 2017 for $371,000 cash.
