NFL: 2019 Season

#1 Pats and #32 Dolphins are ranked correctly.

Ok, so just for fun.

The fish lost 59-10 to the Ravens last week. The Pats won 33-3 over the Steelers.

The most points ever scored by a team in an NFL game is 72 by the Redskins.... should the Patriots go for the record? How about triple digits?

I doubt that Bill would run up the score on his former defensive coordinator and 2 former assistants on his staff.

Wow. Just when you thought AB couldn't get any scummier.

As I said after the acquisition the Pats didn't need any distraction with this guy. His off the field issues continue before his first practice with the team. He's a disaster..... Not worth it especially when they didn't need him on the field.

Bad move by my team.

Good point I hadn't thought of. Perhaps then we'll see Stidman getting some experience.

That is the one bone I have with Belichick.... he leaves Brady in way too long. I know Brady is a competitor and wants to stay in, but you need to consider the long view and not risk Brady getting injured and getting the backup some game experience.

+1. One of my pet peeves with Bill. Why risk an injury to Brady when the game is already won.

The PATS owner calls QB number, not coach...

I am literally not surprised. Desperation doesn't always pan out...and that felt like a desperate/opportunistic play by Pats.
You think the Super Bowl champion Pats are desperate?

I'm guessing you didn't want them play (without AB) Sunday...

Hating on the Pats has been much more satisfying than being a Bills fan the last 15 years.
But this is our year!

LOL! I guess we all get our satisfaction however we can.

Good luck this year. I think the Bills are on the right track, although they looked pretty shaky for most of Sunday's game.

He may even be on the NFL exempt list, so can play as the NFL investigates.

Maybe. That will be up to the league office. You can be on the exempt list and get paid, but not permitted to practice or play.

We'll see how this one plays out soon, I would imagine.

The Pats are better at handling distractions than any team in the NFL.

Time will tell if this move pays off or not. Either way, it won't be a distraction for them.

So the Pats will be punished by paying his salary without practice or play until the investigation is over. If that's the case I wouldn't be surprised if the Pats release him before then.

According to Albert Breer from SI, the first installment of his signing bonus ~5 Mil is due on the 23th of September. If they cut him before that date they're not on the hook for any compensation.

Potentially. That has not yet been decided.

And it's not a "punishment" - the Pats have done nothing wrong here. It's just something the league office will decide, probably soon.

I know the Pats didn't do anything wrong...By punishment I meant paying his salary without the benefits of getting him to practice or play.

You’re mistaken to be polite about it. Kraft, Belichick and Brady all have considerable say and work together well, anyone else would have to have the ear of one or more of them.

Go Pats!

I think it is an alliance, and they have worked out the bugs and rifts.

Fly Eagles Fly!

So far they are accusations only. Let's let the process play out before we try to convict him.

Due process is only for the government. The court of public opinion has no such process. He's earned every bit of ridicule and early public conviction he gets for his BS antics thus far. You can defend your team's monstrosity all you like. I'll call a spade a spade.

LOL!

Yes, you can throw around any ridicule you like even when only accusations exist, particularly for teams you dislike.

Just like folks could do with your team, if you actually root for one.

Seems silly to me, but there's no law against it. We all get our enjoyment in different ways. Some of us get to enjoy our team's winning. Others, not so much.

This isn't about a team. It's about a person. You think AB's a good person? I'm an Eagles fan. When Vick was QBing for Philly, I wasn't under any illusion that he was a good person. If another team's fan would slam him, I wouldn't defend him. Why would I? Question is, why are you defending AB? For your team? Pfft.

There are a lot of NFL players who I wouldn't characterize as a "good person". And plenty on every team.

However, I won't criticize them until the facts in the case are clear. Obviously you are free to jump to any conclusions you like based solely on accusations, without waiting for actual facts, just like you are free to come up with collusion theories without any actual facts.

I don't do that.

Browns fan here first game was a kick in the butt . How can you win a game with 185 yards in penalties . We haven't had that many since 1951 . Came to the news yesterday that Vrabel had his guys egg the Browns on because the Browns are a young team . ( it worked ) Two players fined one kicked out of the game . Hope to recover this weekend .
This for Texan fans , I listen to Sports 610 Houston and they been talking how close they were to victory . Guess what you were nowhere close to winning ,that was the Saints first game . They always play their first game bad ( but win ) . Last season the Browns took the Saints to OT first game they had the same RB that the Texans have today ( Carlos Hyde and Duke Johnson ) The Browns had almost Identical yards last year as the Texans had this year with Tierod Taylor . But Brees and the Saints are that good.

The Browns were over hyped based on last year's play of Mayfield. This year, teams have tapes on him and smart coaches will game plan for him not to mention the fact that their head coach has no head coaching or even a coordinator experience. His NFL experience has been as running backs and tight ends coach. So good luck.......
