Walmart sale on H&R Block tax software

All right. Thanks.

I checked earlier at Amazon, and the Deluxe was $35 at Amazon, and still is at this moment.

My Walmart order is in.

Thanks!

For those who buy the Premium Edition, Schedule C is not in it, only C-EZ which has limitations on deductions for business expenses ($5000 max), no use of home for business, must have no employees, etc. If you need full C, you must buy the next version up.

Last year, the Deluxe version had Schedule C in it, so I find it strange Premium does not this year.

Now of course I'm trying to find out if Deluxe version still has Schedule C in it.

Please let us know what you find out!

It looks like the Deluxes dropped by $10. The price on Basic didn't drop.

Note that state e-file is not included, another $20 extra buried in the fine print. Biggest problem I've had with Block over the last few years because it used to be included.

Yeah I know you can print/file your own, but we're way past that now.

Really? Can you provide an IRS reference for that? I see C-EZ in H&R Block Premium software for 2019 (which I need to use).

Never mind: I found the reference:

https://tax.thomsonreuters.com/news/irs-discontinues-schedule-c-ez-and-other-forms-for-2019/

Looks like H&R Block will provide Schedule C, I hope!

Thanks
Schedule C will not be in the deluxe. I'm not sure I'll need the premier just to do schedule C. My self employment income is very minimal with no assets to depreciate and very little expenses to claim. I'll try to wing it with the deluxe.

Thanks! Just got the deluxe from your link (WA doesn't have state tax). Maybe I can use this to get a little better estimate on 2019 taxes so we don't go over the cliff.

For the past few years I've used Deluxe, as it had all the forms I needed including Schedule C.
In many ways I don't like the interview as I'm worried it will not ask something the way I would, so I answer wrong.
I've not had any issue filling out Schedule C in the deluxe , along with rental properties, yet both are "not in" the Deluxe.

I'm thinking what folks and H&R mean is that it's not in the interview. Even if it's in the forms.

The interview thing is really lame anyway. Most of us know as much or more than most tax preparers and I find the interviews in the software to be about of that quality. (I went to the training school for H&R Block and saw the type of people who passed).

If you have installed it, could you look at menu called "Take me To" and jump to Schedule C , to ensure it's really there ?

(I had earlier mistakenly thought it was accessed directly though forms, but the "take me to" menu gives a nice entry window).

Yes, that would be appreciated.

It would be nice if H&R Block listed the forms in each edition so we would know what to buy.

Thanks Mr. REWAHOO. That is $5 cheaper than last year's price I paid.

You continue to prove that this site is worth every penny I paid to be a member.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!

Sure, but I have not been emailed the download link yet. All I have gotten is order processing from Walmart.

Funny you would think it would be faster.

Also, same price on Amazon today. AND $5 less than last year!

I wonder if one can do a schedule C manually and then enter the amount on the 1040 as an entry item prior to finalizing the return.
