NFL: 2019 Season

I was rooting for the 49ers and the Titans due to Patriots connection with Vrabel and Jimmy Garoppolo. One out of two is not bad.

Actually Vrabel did an outstanding job taking this team to the AFC championship game while beating the Patriots and Ravens.

The Packers on the other hand were the worst team this weekend. They had the advantage in the QB position with Rodgers but their coach is not ready for primetime. They should have sold out to stop the run and let Jimmy G beat them but instead they played straight up and allowed the 49ers to run all over them.

As for Rodgers, As good as he once was he may not win another SB and his legacy will suffer for it.

+1 Vrabel did a great job but KC had too much firepower... and I enjoy watching Mahommes... there was that one play where I though they might sack him or even push him out of bounds near the line of scrimmage and he slithered to a TD... amazing.

As much as I love watching Mahommes, I'm not keen on Andy Reid, and like Jimmy G so I'll be rooting for the 49ers and I think they will win but that it will be a very entertaining game.

I was a Rogers fan be ever since he raised a stink and convinced them to send Mike McCarthy packing I'm less of a fan. I'm not a big fan of McCarthy, it just that i don't think QBs should dictating who the head coach is. Like Brady, I think Rogers best days are in the rear-view mirror.

Well, Rogers was drafted in 2005, so yes, he has been in quite some time and is included in the same group as Brady. The young quarterbacks are coming into their own now.

Elway, Montana, Manning... Brady, Brees, Rogers. Nothing lasts forever...even hall of fame QBs

I am happy to see the respect each team is showing the other leading up to the big game. Bathroom and kitchen runs will be strictly limited to the commercial breaks unlike so many previous years.

Chiefs are one of my two favorite teams going back decades, so I'm obviously pulling for them to make it to the Super Bowl and win it. GO KC!

I hate the Packers, so hopefully SF pulls it off against them, then loses in the SB.

I was pleased to see Tennessee win - was pulling for them and wasn't too surprised, and now they go to KC, so I want to see them go down. lol

I'm a Packer fan and don't understand why other folks hate them so much. Is it the anomaly that they are in a small city and is owned by the fans? One would think that that would be a plus. Anyway, no way were they even competitive with the 49's.

There are plenty of folks here that don't hate the Packers, I think. I just wanted the 49ers to win. Was born in SF so am slightly biased. :)

I don't get the hatred for the Packers. And while Packer fans can sometimes be a bit much, I can't ever get to hate for them either.

I'm not routinely a 49ers fan. But I think the 49ers look so balanced all around. The Titans did a great job for 1 1/2 quarters dominating the AFC Championship game against the Chiefs. Seems like later the Chiefs stacked the line to stop the run and made Ryan Tannehill try and beat them.

I think if the Chiefs used the same approach, that won't work with Jimmy G and his weapons. Namely the 49ers' tight end (who is like another Gronk) and that good looking rookie receiver (I forget his name) that runs over people.

Game may come down to which team has more snaps.

I've always liked the Packers going back to the days of Vince Lombardi. And really enjoyed watching them play during Brett Favre's days.

As a Unitas era Colts fan I always appreciated the Packers. They were a class act. It's a little annoying that they got three of the best QBs in history while my team sneaked out of town in the middle of the night, but I still tend to root for them when I don't have another favorite team.

There are many teams I don't like based on player, owner, or fan behavior. But the Packers aren't one of them.

I don't hate the Packers, after all their best coach grew his knowledge while the offensive coordinator for the Giants. :)

In truth I think it more has to do with Aaron Rodgers. For some reason his personality has rubbed some folks the wrong way. Some perceive he "drove" Mike McCarthy out of Green Bay. And their have been the off field issues he has had with his family. That is just the way some people might look at it.

Fireworks going off all over the neighborhood. The parade ought to be a blast.

YAY! I am so glad the 49ers lost and Mahomes and Co came back. Defenses win football games. KC D held up!

Congratulations KC, well played....

Glad for KC.

Watching the halftime show with J Lo & Sharika, they would make an old man want to get up and dance. LOL WOW!

Watched more NFL today than all season combined. My preferred outcome happened. Good game.

They certainly had better moves than the 49ers. :)

Wow. What a great way to win.

I'm remembering how Chief's tickets were kind of gag gifts back in the 1980s.

A very entertaining game. Mahomes is Magic.

Kyle Shanahan orchestrates another monumental Super Bowl collapse

Shanahan has been a part of the only teams to lose the Super Bowl in the last 10 seasons when scoring first. The debacle between the games Shanahan was involved in totals 52-0 when you factor in the Falcons’ 25-point lead and the 10-point advantage the Niners blew at Hard Rock Stadium.

Once again, the question has to be asked: Why didn’t Shanahan stay with the running game? He took a lot of criticism for his play-calling in Super Bowl LI and he is going to find himself under the microscope again after LIV.
Raheem Mostert was making solid yardage on the ground, yet Shanahan quickly had Jimmy Garoppolo throw passes on second down when the 49ers were in position to run the ball, eat some clock and put themselves in a better position to control the game.

Great game that hung in the balance until the end. Mahomes again proving for the 3rd time that he has got game, even when he is not playing up to his standard. Glad to see Andy Reid get the can't win SB/chokes in playoffs monkey off his back. This Giants fan is happy to congratulate the Chiefs!
