Was a really fun game to watch!
Hope she is pleased after the next 2 also!
Well, that makes one of us!
ND is a good team--they totally shut down UNC's offense in the second half. Also the ND QB is very slippery. UNC's defenders would be hanging all over him and he would still make the pass. UNC was just outplayed on this one. Frankly I am just glad games are being played. Onto basketball.
Wow. You'd think either take him out for the second half or the fourth quarter but 2 minutes left with a chance to break those records. What did he have a bonus clause?!Jaret Peterson for Buffalo today, 36 carries for 409 yards, 8 TDs. They just took him out of the game with a little over 2 minutes left after he crossed 400 yards. His backup scored a couple plays later. Had Peterson stayed in he'd have broken the FBS single game rushing record and most TDs.
Final score was 70-41, so it wasn't a total runaway. 63-41 when he went out. I guess they wanted to get him 400 yards. I bet they would've kept him in had they known how close he was to breaking those records.Wow. What no one has a smart phone on the sidelines!Final score was 70-41, so it wasn't a total runaway. 63-41 when he went out. I guess they wanted to get him 400 yards. I bet they would've kept him in had they known how close he was to breaking those records.
I know, right? When I noticed he was over 300 early in the 2nd half it took me about 30 seconds to find both records. What no one has a smart phone on the sidelines!
I am so proud of my UNC Tar Heels. UNC #17 just beat #10 Miami at Miami 62-26. A huge win for the Heels. Sam Howell UNC's sophomore QB played great with passing, running and receiving (!) TDs. UNC's 2 running backs (Carter and Williams) combined for 544 yards which is a NCAA record. This was UNC's final regular season game and they ended with a 8-3 record.
Another reason I am proud of the Tar Heels is that they played the entire season with no Covid cases.
I love watching games in the snow. Some snow on the ground at Colorado. Snow falling at the Iowa game. Now watching the Wyoming game, snow falling, covered field, 16 degrees and windy.
There may be a few muscle pulls from the sliding around, but I'd think that they don't build up the same kind of speed to deliver a hard shot. And probably fewer knee injuries since you really can't plant your foot as well. Now, if the ground is frozen solid, it's like playing on concrete but I think some fields have heated coils under them. Green Bay is one I'm thinking of.I don't mind watching games on TV in the snow but I have never been in person to a snow game and I don't think I would like it.
Do players get hurt more in the snow slipping and sliding?
A really unusual thing happened in the Florida versus LSU game last night. Toward the end of the game, a Florida player threw the shoe of one of the LSU players 20 years down the field (the shoe had accidentally come off). The Florida player was penalized for the unsportsmanlike conduct. This moved LSU up to the 57 yard line and the LSU kicker made a 57 yard field goal to win the game. I never have heard of a player throwing a shoe before. Immaturity.

And that loss will likely spoil Florida's hopes to get into the big dance... and I read something earlier today that Florida's coach was belly-aching about Ohio State playing fewer games so Ohio State shouldn't be in... sounded like sour grapes to me.
