 The megacorp badge has been turned in; I'm free!! It's Miller time.

Congratulations , Now repeat after me .
I do not have to use an alarm clock
Mornings are overrated
If I eat breakfast real late think of the calories I save by missing lunch
No deadlines means no deadlines clean the closet whenever
Pantyhose are of no use to me
I'm free , I'm finally free

Congratulations. Must feel great!!!!!! My date for freedom is July 25. Right behind you.

Absolutely, CONGRATS!

But may I suggest that retirement deserves far better beer than Miller!

Life is far too short to drink cheap beer.

This is an excellent idea! I read an article in our local paper this spring about the YWCA providing new or gently used interview outfits for women seeking employment. I threw open my closets and found suits, dresses, purses, conservative slacks, blouses and blazers that I had not been wearing but were still current. I also had lots of costume jewelry and scarves and gloves that had been given to me as gifts and were still in boxes. I felt so good taking all these things to the Y, and I made a dent in my cluttered life. The ladies at the store told me they were particularly in need of scrubs, so I passed this info along to nurse friends of mine. It seems a lot of new hires are getting jobs as home health aides.

Don't be too sure.

If mega-corp wants you back, they may get you. It's kinda like being abducted by aliens. Money talks.

It may be you need a tinfoil hat, not to listen.

Don't listen.:)

Congrats!

Now you can spend countless hours sitting in an old lawn chair in front of the garage like a true retiree

Actually, my favorite beer is Shiner; I'm a bock fan (though I'll take whatever's available.) :D

Great idea! Though since I WAS an IT nerd, most of my work clothes were khaki pants, oxford shirt, and loafers. I could probably dig a couple of decent suits out of the closet though.

My boss already asked if I would come back in 6 months as a consultant. Jeeze. I was flattered, but don't see it happening.

Congrats!

I fired our lawn crew in preparation for "assuming the position." My hubby "lol'd" when I told him that I will be caring for the lawn from this point forward. (He knows how I hate sweating, ahaha.)

Congrats, Sarah! It must be an incredible feeling to walk out the door.

All the best

Rob

You have inspired me to do same. :D I just put it on "the list" for a rainy day. I did some initial weeding out 2 years ago, but the finale is very much needed. I will save just 3 outfits for some upcoming educational advisory meetings with my alma mater in the fall.

Congrats on your freedom!!! Woooohooooooooo
